Himanshu Patel a highly self-motivated and determined individual, has an active involvement in the social and political scenario of Gujarat. He is one of the Spokesperson of Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee and has done countless endeavors towards taking Gujarat to new heights of success.

An advocate himself, he believes education is an important aspect of human development. He lays great emphasis on educating the youth and enabling it in driving India in the direction of unsurpassable growth. He is a Senate Member of Gujarat University (registered law faculty) and has been associated with numerous other colleges and universities like C.U. Shah College, Vivekanand Law College and M. N. Law College in various capacities. Apart from being highly involved in academics, he is also the Vice Chairman of Gandhinagar Nagarik Co-operative Bank Ltd.

Being an inspirational youth leader, he has constantly strived at strengthening the youth through his initiatives and leadership. With a belief that the involvement of youth in politics will bring about a positive evolution in political thinking and will highlight the issues that the nation is facing currently, he has founded various youth organizations and headed several others.

Having attended a number of state, national and international seminars, conferences, workshops, rallies, campaigns etc. in India and abroad, he has a comprehensive view of the world political scenario, which has helped him lead social transformations that will help position Gujarat on a global platform.

As a believer of inclusive growth, he has initiated and led many community welfare activities in Gujarat. With various non-political and political credits to his name, he has been a candidate of Gujarat Assembly from Congress (December 2002) and a convener in the Law College Student Welfare Committee that protested against fee hike in law colleges.
